How do I store a glut of sweetcorn?

Freezing is the only worthwhile preservation. Husk and de-silk the cobs immediately after picking, blanch whole cobs for 7 minutes or strip kernels and blanch for 3 minutes, plunge in cold water, drain, freeze. Keeps 12 months. Drying for cornmeal works but isn't worth the effort for small gardens. Pickling whole baby cobs is the only other option.
